Os Peroneum Syndrome

What is Os Peroneum?

The os peroneum is an accessory ossicle (bone) within the substance of the peroneus longus tendon, located near the cuboid bone (outside border of the foot).  An accessory ossicle is a small bone that occurs in part of the population. Accessory ossicles are found in many places throughout the body.
