- “Functional” orthotics are “custom” made devices that fit into your footwear, which improves the “function” of your feet by controlling excessive or unnecessary motion while standing, walking or running.
- “Accommodative” orthotic are custom made devices that fit into your footwear to “accommodate” foot deformity. Their main function is to transfer pressure and weight away from a painful or pre-ulcer area and disperse the pressure to the entire bottom of the foot.
